Individual Therapy for Adults

Making a change begins by seeking help.

There are times in our life when we might feel overwhelmed and confused when trying to manage today’s stressors. Fortunately, because you are seeking help, you don’t have to go through it alone.

Often, we need guidance when navigating the challenges and feelings when difficulties arise.

In a supportive and empathic environment, a strength-based and solution-oriented approach addresses issues such as grief and loss, anxiety, sadness/depression, life transitions, personal growth, low self-esteem, ADHD issues, and trauma.

Therapy is a journey I can help you embark upon, where the goal is to partner with and empower you to make the positive changes you desire. If you are reading this, you have already taken the first step toward creating a positive change in your life.

Something felt off to Andrea* for a long time. See how small steps can lead to change.

Andrea thought she had done everything “right.”

She did everything “expected” of her. She got good grades in college and graduate school, built a promising career for herself, married the perfect partner, and had a picture-perfect family, home, and social life.

Yet, something in Andrea’s life wasn’t right.

All those accomplishments didn’t work, and something inside Andrea still felt off. The voice in the back of her head wouldn’t slow down. Her shoulders felt tense. She often felt pressure in her chest and struggled to take deep breaths.

Restless, tired, confused…

Sometimes, Andrea awoke in the middle of the night, unable to fall back asleep. There were days that the slightest little things irritated her without understanding why. She could hear the frustration in her voice and found herself snapping at others quickly, more often than she could control.

The way Andrea felt inside didn’t match how she looked outside. She felt ashamed that she couldn’t fix it and embarrassed to admit the thoughts and feelings that kept gnawing at her. That embarrassment made her wonder if others would think she was a terrible wife, mother, and friend if they knew how she felt on the inside.

Dealing with those feelings made Andrea secretly cry in the shower, wishing that she could hide from the world. Andrea didn’t know how to help herself because no one ever taught her how to deal with these thoughts and feelings. Now it was too much for her to deal with them alone.

Yet, something changed that one day.

Andrea, sobbing and unable to catch her breath in the bathroom, looked at herself in the mirror and said, “Enough is enough. I can’t keep living like this.” She was at a breaking point and felt so vulnerable, but she knew she had no choice but to ask for help.

Andrea went straight to her laptop, Googled ‘therapists near me,’ and received guidance to a therapist-advertising platform.

There was one that sounded warm in her message to her patients. Andrea picked up her phone, dialed the number, mustered up the last bit of courage, and softly said, “Hi, my name is Andrea. I’m struggling and can’t do it alone anymore. I want to schedule an appointment.”

That moment changed the course of Andrea’s life.

Andrea met the therapist that week and embarked on her journey of going beneath the surface, changing the course of her life. After unloading all the weight of pain she had carried around for so long, she discovered newfound freedom, afraid to share with anyone.

It took time, but piece-by-piece Andrea uncovered the layers of her memories hidden away and began to gain a deeper understanding of what was causing her pain.

Some parts were difficult to embrace, and she doubted she could. Still, together, we continued through, and over time she began to feel lighter, allowing her to breathe again, embrace her feelings with compassion, and let go of the stories her mind wanted her to believe.

Be like Andrea – and seek the change you desire.

Andrea confronted her biggest fears and came out the other side resilient, and so can you.

Andrea could share with someone who listened, did not judge, and had her best interest at heart for once in her life.

Together, Andrea and I took a journey that helped her slowly start to notice herself feeling more fulfilled in life, more confident in herself, and connected to those she loved.

Andrea started feeling whole again – finding her True Self. Feeling like Andrea is what I want for you. It starts by contacting me.
